Breeding Guide for Pogonomyrmex bicolor
Pogonomyrmex bicolor is a polygynous Pogonomyrmex species with very rapid development. Unlike some of its counterparts like badius, they establish colonies very easily; simply provide heat and food, and workers will appear in less than a month. They have a highly functional sting, so it is advised not to purchase this species if you have a history of allergies to insect stings. This species can practice intranidal reproduction if the founding colony includes multiple queens.
