Harpegnathos venator, also known as jumping ants, is an incredible species with excellent vision that hunts by sight. Contrary to rumors, their care is not so complicated – they only need a regular supply of live insects and proper humidity to thrive.
Note: our Harpegnathos venator colonies have a true queen and not a gamergate (fertilized worker).

Diapause: No, lowering the temperature to around 20°C during winter period is sufficient.
Nests: Any mineral-based nest (bamboo tubes, cellular concrete nest, reconstituted stone, etc.) or evaporation nests work very well. Avoid plastic nests at all costs.
