Raising Sheet for Camponotus singularis

Camponotus singularis is a beautiful species of a good size, but unfortunately, they are rather fragile and require proper stabilization after arrival. Their development is slow at the beginning, but the colony can quickly explode once it reaches around 30 workers, with significant egg-laying compensating for the slow brood development.

General Information:
Raising Difficulty: difficult
Geographic Range: Tropical Asia
Origin: Thailand
– Queen Size: 21mm
– Worker Size: 9-18mm
– Polygynous: no
– Mature Colony Size: 3,000 workers

Maintenance Information:
Humidity: 60-90%
Temperature: 20-27°C (ideal at 25°C)
Diapause: No, a temperature decrease to around 20°C during the winter period is sufficient.
Ant Farms: Any ant farm with a humid area suitable for the colony’s size will work for them. Avoid smooth plexiglass/plastic ant farms; the workers’ hairs tend to create static electricity when rubbing against these materials, which can be detrimental to the colony’s health.
Food: sugary liquids and insects
