Camponotus oblongus Breeding Sheet

Camponotus oblongus (identification uncertain, it is probably not yet referenced) is a beautiful Camponotus from Thailand. It seems to found colonies rather easily, so breeding them should not be a problem either. The queen has a reddish head and abdomen and seems very energetic.

Humidity: 50-70%

Temperature: 20-27°C (ideal at 25°C)

Diapause: No, a drop in temperature around 20° during the winter period is sufficient.

Formicariums: Any formicarium with a moist area and suited to the colony size will be suitable for them.

Food: sugary liquids and insects
