Definitions
The Publisher: the natural or legal person who publishes online communication services to the public.
The Site: all websites, web pages and online services offered by the Publisher.
The User: the person using the Site and the services.
1. Nature of the data collected
As part of the use of the Sites, the Publisher may collect the following categories of data about its Users:
- Civil-status, identity and identification data…
- Connection data (IP addresses, event logs…)
2. Disclosure of personal data to third parties
No disclosure to third parties. Your data is not disclosed to any third party. You are however informed that it may be disclosed in application of a law, a regulation, or by virtue of a decision of a competent regulatory or judicial authority.
3. Prior information regarding the disclosure of personal data to third parties in the event of a merger / acquisition
Opt-in collection prior to data transmission following a merger / acquisition. Should we take part in a merger, acquisition or any other form of asset transfer, we undertake to obtain your prior consent for the transmission of your personal data and to maintain the level of confidentiality of your personal data to which you have consented.
4. Aggregation of data
Aggregation with non-personal data. We may publish, disclose and use aggregated information (information relating to all our Users or to specific groups or categories of Users that we combine in such a way that an individual User can no longer be identified or mentioned) and non-personal information for industry and market analysis, demographic profiling, promotional and advertising purposes, and other commercial purposes.
Aggregation with personal data available on the User's social accounts. If you connect your account to another service in order to make cross-postings, the said service may communicate to us your profile and connection information, as well as any other information you have authorised for disclosure. We may aggregate information about all our other Users, groups and accounts with the personal data available about the User.
5. Collection of identity data
Free consultation. Browsing the Site does not require any registration or prior identification. It can be carried out without you providing any personal data (last name, first name, address, etc.). We do not record any personal data for the simple consultation of the Site.
6. Collection of identification data
Use of the user's identifier solely for accessing services. We use your electronic identifiers only for and during the performance of the contract.
7. Collection of device data
No collection of technical data. We do not collect or store any technical data from your device (IP address, internet service provider, etc.).
8. Cookies
Cookie retention period. In accordance with the recommendations of the CNIL (the French data protection authority), the maximum retention period for cookies is 13 months after their first deposit on the User's terminal, just like the duration of validity of the User's consent to the use of these cookies. The lifetime of cookies is not extended on each visit. The User's consent must therefore be renewed at the end of this period.
Purpose of the cookies. Cookies may be used for statistical purposes, in particular to optimise the services provided to the User, based on the processing of information concerning the frequency of access, the personalisation of pages, as well as the operations performed and the information consulted. You are informed that the Publisher may place cookies on your terminal. The cookie records information relating to navigation on the service (the pages you have visited, the date and time of consultation, etc.) which we may read on subsequent visits.
User's right to refuse cookies. You acknowledge that you have been informed that the Publisher may use cookies. If you do not wish cookies to be used on your terminal, most browsers allow you to disable them via the settings options.
9. Retention of technical data
Technical data retention period. Technical data is retained for the period strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes set out above.
10. Personal data retention and anonymisation
Data retention during the contractual relationship. In accordance with article 6-5° of French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on data processing, files and freedoms, personal data being processed is not kept beyond the time necessary to perform the obligations defined when concluding the contract or for the predefined duration of the contractual relationship.
Retention of anonymised data beyond the contractual relationship / after account deletion. We retain personal data for the period strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Beyond this period, the data will be anonymised and retained exclusively for statistical purposes, with no further use of any nature.
Deletion of data after account deletion. Data-purging mechanisms are in place to ensure effective deletion once the necessary retention or archival period has been reached. Pursuant to French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, you also have the right to delete your data, which you may exercise at any time by contacting the Publisher.
Deletion of data after 3 years of inactivity. For security reasons, if you have not authenticated on the Site for a period of three years, you will receive an email inviting you to log in as soon as possible, failing which your data will be deleted from our databases.
11. Account deletion
Account deletion on request. The User may delete their account at any time, simply by request to the Publisher or via the account-deletion menu in the account settings, where applicable.
Account deletion in the event of a breach of the Privacy Policy. In the event of a breach of one or more provisions of the Privacy Policy or of any other document incorporated herein by reference, the Publisher reserves the right to terminate or restrict, without prior notice and at its sole discretion, your use of and access to the services, your account and all the Sites.
12. Notice in the event of a security breach detected by the Publisher
Information to the User in the event of a security breach. We undertake to implement all appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security adapted to the risks of accidental, unauthorised or illegal access, disclosure, alteration, loss or destruction of personal data concerning you. Should we become aware of unlawful access to personal data concerning you stored on our servers or those of our service providers, or of unauthorised access resulting in the realisation of the risks identified above, we undertake to:
- Notify you of the incident as soon as possible;
- Investigate the causes of the incident and inform you of them;
- Take the necessary measures, within reason, to mitigate the negative effects and damages that may result from the said incident.
Limitation of liability. In no event shall the commitments defined above relating to notification in the event of a security breach be construed as any acknowledgement of fault or liability with respect to the occurrence of the incident in question.
13. Transfer of personal data abroad
No transfer outside the European Union. The Publisher undertakes not to transfer the personal data of its Users outside the European Union. See data protection around the world — CNIL.
14. Changes to the privacy policy
Commitment not to substantially lower the level of confidentiality without prior information of the persons concerned. We undertake to inform you in the event of a substantial modification to this Privacy Policy, and not to substantially lower the level of confidentiality of your data without informing you and obtaining your consent.
15. Applicable law and remedies
Arbitration clause. You expressly accept that any dispute that may arise from this Privacy Policy, in particular from its interpretation or execution, shall be subject to an arbitration procedure governed by the rules of the arbitration platform chosen by mutual agreement, which you shall adhere to without reservation.
16. Data portability
The Publisher undertakes to offer you the possibility of having all the data concerning you returned to you on simple request. The User is thus guaranteed better control over their data and retains the possibility of reusing it. This data will be provided in an open and easily reusable format.
